What species are found in the vault?

At The Ant Vault, we are dedicated to offering a diverse selection of ant species to our customers. We work closely with trusted suppliers to ensure that the ants we offer are healthy, well-cared for, and ready for their new homes.

Some of the common species that you may find in The Vault include:

1. Harvester ants (Pogonomyrmex spp.): These ants are known for their powerful jaws and are often used in educational ant farms. They are hard workers and can gather large amounts of seeds and other food.

2. Carpenter ants (Camponotus spp.): Carpenter ants are known for their ability to excavate wood to create their nests. They can be found in a variety of habitats, including forests, fields, and homes.

3. Leafcutter ants (Acromyrmex/Trachymyrmex spp.): These ants are known for their impressive ability to cut and carry large pieces of leaves. They use the leaves to cultivate a fungus that they feed on.

The species found in The Vault may vary depending on availability and seasonality, but we always strive to offer a diverse selection of high-quality ants to our customers. As a VIP member, you will have exclusive access to these species and the opportunity to expand your ant collection with unique and interesting species. 

The vault is only open for 4 hours every-time it opens. The vault remains closed for majority of the time. 

Don't confuse our name with the Vault. You may still purchase common ants that are found on the site even when the vault is closed. The vault is where you can get unique species not commonly found in the USA.
